After quite a moist January in the Daintree the rain has disappeared and we're going into a heatwave - and normally February is one of the wettest months of the year! It really is a crazy country with devastating drought, followed by catastrophic bushfires way down to the south of us and many of those drought- and fire-ravaged regions are now under torrential (and life-saving) rains!!!!
Such a lovely day yesterday we took a drive up our neighbouring valley through which the Daintree River flows (our valley has it's major tributary, Stewart Creek). You can drive as far as where the River is very shallow and narrow - I took this shot about half way back down the valley. Love the reflections!
